Exploring Style and Creativity: An Interview with Mina Binebine and Malek Awadi, Founders of KISSA STORE
KISSA STORE, a fashion and lifestyle uprising, has opened a second permanent boutique in Rabat’s posh Marriott Hotel. After a hugely successful debut in Marrakech, where the brand quickly became a favourite among style-conscious consumers, the company has decided to branch out in a big way.
To mark this momentous occasion, KISSA STORE hosted a spectacular launch event at the Marriott in Rabat, attended by a wide range of VIPs. Malak Awadi and Mina Binebine, the brains of KISSA STORE, were kind enough to give us the benefit of their wisdom and experience.

Renowned fashion designers Mina Binebine and Malek Awadi joined forces to bring KISSA STORE to fruition. Their mutual appreciation for fashion, the arts, and culture served as the inspiration for this ground-breaking business. The anticipation of their trip was apparent when we sat down with them.
“KISSA STORE is not just a fashion boutique; it’s a curated experience where style and culture converge,” explained Mina Binebine. To quote the founders, “We envisioned a space where people could explore fashion as an art form and find unique pieces that reflect their individuality.”
The Heart of KISSA STORE Is Carefully Selected Creative Goods
When you enter KISSA STORE, it’s like entering a new, aesthetically pleasing universe. The creators take great pleasure in their ability to select items that are both timeless and expressive of individual style. Founder and creative director Malek Awadi elaborated on this strategy, saying, “Fashion is an ever-evolving canvas, but our priority is to offer designs that inspire confidence and authenticity.”
The KISSA STORE believes in incorporating elements from all over the world into its products. Mina Binebine commented, “Our brand is a celebration of Morocco’s wealth of creativity.” As the description of KISSA STORE puts it, “from traditional craftsmanship to contemporary design, KISSA STORE bridges the gap between heritage and modernity.”
Moving onward and upward from Marrakech to Rabat
It seemed only natural for KISSA STORE to launch a second permanent site in Rabat following the phenomenal success of their Marrakech boutique. Malek Awadi of The Collective affirmed the existence of a need for “unique fashion experiences” during their foray in Marrakech. In order to reach more people, “Rabat, being the capital, presented an exciting opportunity.”
The success of the inaugural party at the Rabat Marriott Hotel was a reflection of the significance of KISSA STORE. Art displays and live music were set up to create a visual extravaganza that reflected the brand’s unconventional spirit.
“We wanted the event to be a sensory journey, just like our stores are,” Mina Binebine said.
A Vision for the Future of Style
Mina Binebine and Malek Awadi’s hopes for KISSA STORE’s future were discussed as we wrapped up our talk. “We see KISSA STORE evolving into a hub for not only fashion but also for creative dialogue,” Malek Awadi said. The road ahead will include “collaborations with local artists,” “workshops,” and “cultural events.”
Also, as Mina Binebine remarked, “Fashion should be an expression of self, and KISSA Store will continue to provide a platform for people to discover their own unique style narrative.”
Conclusion
The vision of KISSA STORE’s co-founders Mina Binebine and Malek Awadi has resulted in an environment that goes beyond the norms of conventional retail. The launch of their new store in Rabat is a major step towards realising their vision of revolutionising the Moroccan fashion industry. More ground-breaking ideas and ingenuity from these two are to be expected as the brand develops further.
