BEDROCK LA CAPSULE DENIM: The Alliance of Elegance, Urbanity, Sensuality, and Innovation
This denim edition of the BEDROCK A/W ’23 collection consists of about twenty pieces of ready-to-wear and accessories, versatile enough to be worn by both women and men for the most part. From the BEDROCK collection, variations of flagship models are found, such as the XXL jacket, reimagined from a classic jacket but with dimensions expanded to give a gigantic, airy, and entirely new kind of chic effect.
The bolero also makes a comeback, adding a highlighted and structured look. Cargo and palazzo pants have been reinterpreted in denim, adorned with a new detail also from the BEDROCK A/W ’23 line. Besides these denim versions of already popular models, the cruise collection also features a mermaid skirt, a mini skirt, the essential 5-pocket design, the timeless denim jacket, and, of course, to complement all these models: 2 white t-shirts, inseparable from denim. All these pieces are stamped with a studded leather loop featuring the AD logo, a design found on the 3 new belts; a buckle belt, a corset belt with straps, and an elastic corset belt.
The BEDROCK Codes:
The codes of the BEDROCK A/W ’23 collection include a wool-embroidered rosette on a sleeveless vest, an oversized stole, and a corset top accentuating a maxi skirt. This rosette, inspired by the pufferfish, which during the mating season, creates a rosette pattern on the ocean floor (the name BEDROCK symbolizes the foundation, the bottom of the water, a return to the origins) as a love token. For the BEDROCK DENIM capsule, this rosette is embossed on a pocket, a shoulder, or a back, through an elaborate technique that permanently embosses the denim, giving it unprecedented texture.
The Campaign:
The BEDROCK DENIM campaign features major highlights:
- A photo campaign
- A video campaign
- A “Special Guests” photo campaign
The photo and video campaigns converge to restore denim’s letters of nobility, sensuality, and sex appeal. The voluptuousness of the bodies of a young woman and a young man wrapped in these full denim looks recalls the heyday of this material, a symbol of rock’n’roll, freedom, and eternal youth.
To add glamour to the campaign, two Moroccan personalities participated: actress Mouna Fettou and singer and actor Fayçal Azizi. An iconic duo united around the love of Moroccan fashion, here specifically modern and chic denim.
Eco-Friendly and High-End Denim:
The pieces are made from superior quality denim, ensuring exceptional comfort and increased durability thanks to Evlox’s Regen technology: a revolutionary advance that uses eco-responsible manufacturing processes (in southern Spain) to reduce the carbon footprint while maintaining high-quality standards; aligning with the unwavering commitments of the Ali Drissi Workshops to responsible fashion.
Thus, this capsule offers a variety of styles, from everyday essentials to bold pieces, allowing everyone to find the perfect item to complete their personal style while committing to promoting ethical practices throughout the production chain, from design to manufacturing, thereby creating an eco-conscious and ethically responsible collection.
Portrait of Ali Drissi:
A native of Casablanca, Ali Drissi loves his city. He is inspired by its organized chaos, unique ambiance, and light. In addition to his travels and artistic or popular culture, the city is one of his main sources of inspiration. Ali Drissi’s first collection debuted in 2014, following a design competition where he was noticed by numerous industry stakeholders, both Moroccan and international. Barely a year later, he became a laureate of the Maison Mode Méditerranée Endowment Fund, which allowed him to showcase his flagship creation at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann.
If he had resisted the siren calls of fashion, choosing the wisdom of a corporate career after higher studies, his passion eventually caught up with him. For nearly 10 years, he has been growing with his Maison, always expanding the realm of possibilities.
Today, with BEDROCK, he reaches the maturity of his creativity without ever stopping to look further, to envision tomorrow.
