La Fête du Cinéma: A Cinematic Journey Across Morocco

With a spectacular celebration, “La Fête du Cinéma” officially kicked off on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the prestigious Megarama in Rabat. In the presence of the Minister of Culture, Youth, and Communication, Mr. Mehdi Bensaïd, the event began amidst a wave of glamour and palpable excitement. The opening ceremony was followed by the much-anticipated premiere of the Moroccan film Triple A by the talented Jihane El Bahaar, marking a highlight of the evening.

This prestigious event, organized under the auspices of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center and the Moroccan Chamber of Cinemas and carefully coordinated by the Nelio Agency, is positioned as an unmissable rendezvous for film lovers across Morocco. For its very first edition, “La Fête du Cinéma” promises to offer an unprecedented experience to the public. From September 7 to 10, spectators throughout the Kingdom will enjoy a special price of 30 dirhams per screening, in a move aimed at making cinema more accessible and democratizing this art form for all segments of society.

The event spans a vast cultural scope, with screenings in 20 theaters and multiplexes across 7 cities in Morocco, taking audiences on a cinematic journey of rare richness. More than 50 films have been meticulously selected to offer a wide range of genres and emotions, ensuring that everyone finds something to enjoy, from beloved classics to contemporary critically acclaimed films.

This festival goes beyond film screenings. It also offers exceptional encounters between the public and key figures in the film industry. These exchanges will allow audiences to discover the inner workings of cinema by engaging with directors, actors, and experts, providing a complete immersion into the creative process behind the camera.
