MOGA Festival 2024: One Month to Go for an Unforgettable Musical Journey in Essaouira

As the countdown to the MOGA Festival approaches just over a month away… anticipation is building as the festival has recenly revealed the second phase of its lineup, further expanding an already impressive list for its highly anticipated 2024 edition.

Scheduled from October 2nd to 6th, MOGA is gearing up to host an unforgettable event, reconnecting with its community and offering a truly exceptional experience for all attendees.

The latest additions to the lineup include top-tier headliners such as Damian Lazarus, Âme Live, and Dixon, enriching an already stellar roster of performers. This year’s selections highlight MOGA’s commitment to bringing world-class talent to Morocco. The festival continues to stand out by inviting artists to Morocco for the first time and presenting legendary figures from the electronic music scene. These artists have graced stages at globally renowned festivals like Tomorrowland, Day Zero, Burning Man, and Coachella, as well as iconic nightlife destinations like Ibiza and Mykonos. This carefully curated selection promises to make the 2024 edition particularly remarkable, featuring a mix of emerging talents and established legends.

From October 2nd to 6th, festival-goers can enjoy five days of dance, culture, music, gastronomy, and discovery at the heart of Essaouira, the city of wind. MOGA consistently offers an eclectic musical lineup that blends international and local sounds, both modern and traditional, while promoting the Souiri lifestyle and destination through multiple events.

On October 2nd and 3rd, cultural and wellness events are part of the OFF festival, scattered throughout the city and offering free access to parties and activities related to art, gastronomy, and water sports, with the full program to be announced soon. These events aim to help festival-goers discover Essaouira’s rich and diverse current culture and traditions.

From October 4th to 6th, MOGA IN takes place at the SOFITEL Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Festival-goers can enjoy an unforgettable experience across four diverse stages (Main, Garden, Wild, and Terrace) featuring an eclectic program with over 70 artists from around the globe. Between sets, they can cool off in the venue’s two pools or stroll through the stunning palm grove.

NEW LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENTS

The latest additions to the MOGA Essaouira 2024 lineup include Damian Lazarus (aka The Wizard), the visionary behind projects like Crosstown Rebels, Day Zero, and Get Lost; the enigmatic duo Âme Live, whose 15-year musical collaboration defies categorization; Habibi Funk, the Berlin-based label that uncovers musical gems from the Arab world; and the pioneer of the German electronic scene, Dixon, ready to bring Berlin’s electrifying atmosphere to the Tribe.

These artists join previously announced talents such as Seth Troxler, Pachanga Boys, DJ Tennis, Carlita, Hunee, Apollonia, Fumiya Tanaka, Sonja Moonear, and Stavroz. The lineup is meticulously crafted to showcase a wide variety of musical genres and nationalities while highlighting Moroccan and Portuguese talents.
