Rabat Prepares to Host the 9th Edition of the “Art du Caftan” International Festival
Rabat is preparing to host one of the most prestigious events in the world of fashion and caftans in Morocco, the “Art du Caftan” International Festival. The festival, now in its ninth year, is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and the Moroccan National Tourist Office. The event has become a yearly gathering for fashion and art aficionados to commemorate the most recent trends in Moroccan caftans. The event will be held in the Fairmont La Marina resort in the Rabat-Salé area on the 6th of July.
The event will showcase a distinguished roster of influential people in the creative realm, such as the renowned Moroccan and Arab sensation Jannat Mahid, Moroccan star Zina Daoudia, the legendary Maâlem Hamid El Kasri in Gnawa music, and the star Zakaria Ghafouli.
As is customary each year, the event will exhibit a diverse range of authentic Moroccan attire, crafted by respected fashion designers. The festival director, Issam Filali, emphasized the remarkable efforts undertaken by individuals responsible for the ongoing triumph and excellence of the “Art du Caftan” festival. The festival will be hosted this year by the towns of Rabat and Salé, after successful editions staged in Casablanca and Agadir in previous years.
It is worth noting that the eighth edition of the festival took place at one of the largest tourist resorts in the Taghazout region of Agadir. It featured a lineup of artists including Ibtissam Tiskat, Karima Gouit, Cheb Younes, and Mounaim Slimani.
