Unveiling the New CUPRA Leon: Sporty and Sophisticated
The first-generation CUPRA Leon has given way to an exciting new iteration, marking a bold step forward for the Spanish brand. Presented in Casablanca, the new Leon brings a fresh design, a revamped interior, and the introduction of an all-new variant named “VZ.”
A Bolder Style Statement
The updated Leon showcases CUPRA’s new design language, aligning with the brand’s latest creations. Its striking front end now features a distinctive “shark nose” design housing a wider grille, with the CUPRA logo repositioned onto the sculpted hood. The headlights adopt a refreshed triangular light signature, and the aggressive bumper enhances its sporty aesthetic. At the rear, the updates continue with taillights featuring a matching triangular design, now connected by an illuminated strip that prominently displays the retro-lit CUPRA logo. The Leon’s dynamic look is further emphasized by redesigned faux exhaust outlets and vertically positioned reflectors.
A Tech-Enhanced Interior
Inside, the Leon is all about blending style with advanced technology. The dashboard now features a 3D parametric motif, while the upgraded 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrates the latest digital innovation. Paired with the updated 10.25-inch digital cockpit, which now includes advanced navigation displays, the Leon’s cabin is a tech-savvy driver’s dream. The Supersports CUPRA steering wheel with satellite buttons is now a standard feature, complementing the redesigned center console with its copper accents and a 15-watt refrigerated wireless charging pad.
CUPRA has also focused on sustainability by incorporating premium recycled materials such as eco-friendly leather and microfiber, elevating the interior’s quality while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to environmentally conscious design.
Diesel Power: Tried and True
In Morocco, the new Leon is initially available with a single engine option: a 2.0-liter diesel producing 150 horsepower, paired with a DSG7 automatic transmission. Customers can choose between two trims, “Carbon Ed” and “Copper Ed.” Enthusiasts are already looking forward to the January 2025 arrival of the high-performance “VZ” variant, which will deliver an impressive 300 horsepower.
A New Era for CUPRA Leon
With its bold design, enhanced interior, and promise of exhilarating performance, the new CUPRA Leon redefines the compact sports car experience. Poised to make a strong impression on Moroccan roads, it offers an enticing mix of innovation, style, and dynamic driving pleasure.
